Britney Hearing: The Custody Battle Part 1!
by Jen Heger

In the first of two court hearings today regarding Britney Spears, the judge ruled in the pop star's custody battle, and nothing changed. Britney's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, still has full custody of his two sons with Britney, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. It is now one month to the day since Britney last saw her kids.
Court spokesman Allan Parachini said that the judge, Commissioner Scott Gordon, "is aware that the situation is fluid and is acting accordingly with his judgment."
Andrew Wallet, who was appointed Britney's co-conservator along with her dad, Jamie, appeared on behalf of Britney, who remains in the psych unit at UCLA Medical Center.
When Parachini was asked about rumors that Britney will be showing up at court later today for a hearing regarding her care, said he couldn't imagine she would appear, but added, "in this case, who knows?"
Additionally, Britney's lawyers at Trope and Trope withdrew their petition to be removed as her counsel. The custody battle will be back in court on February 19.

"Britney Britney, what are we gonna do with you? Get better soon"

50 Cent's Crew Makes Paris Cry!
by Jana Winter

It's her party and she'll cry if she wants to.
During his performance at the Paris Hilton-hosted pre-Super Bowl party for 944 magazine last night, 50 Cent gave a shout out to Paris, who then started singing in the front row.
Paris and 50 are good friends.
When the princess decided to get onstage and dance, the hip-hopper's crew and stagehands quickly instructed her to "Get the f**k off the stage." She started to cry and tried to plead with the party's production staff to let her dance, whining, "But it's my party!"
Her entourage swarmed the fotogs so they couldn't document the embarrassing belittlement but PageSix.com was there.
For the record Paris and 50 are still good friends.
Earlier in the evening Paris was in good spirits, telling us that while she's "rooting for both teams" and is a football fan because "my grandfather used to own the Chargers," she won't be watching Sunday's big game. "Um... I'll TiVo it," she claimed.

While Paris was crying, Terrell Owens was having a grand ol' time singing along to every 50 Cent song and jumping and dancing in front of the stage. Throngs of girls were screaming "T.O.! T.O.!" at him from behind the VIP lines all night so when the Kim Kardashian's security tried to block him from the VIP area, the gaggle of fans started shouting "But he's T.O.!" and "But that's Terrell Owens! You can't do that!" Soon Kim & Co.'s vision of VIP grandeur was squashed by the presence of actual celebs and sports stars.

"poor paris gets no respect, even at her own party!"

Amy Winehouse Visits U.S. Embassy for Visa

New reports have surfaced that Amy Winehouse has purchased a visa in order to fly to the US. With her recent stint in rehab appearing to be over, her presence at this Sunday’s Grammy awards is fully expected:

Amy Winehouse briefly left rehab – to go to the American Embassy in London.

Accompanying her on the short visit, reports the BBC, were her father Mitch Winehouse and a nurse. Amy also looked healthier than she has in some time, said the news service.

Decked out in a white skirt and polka dot top – and her trademark beehive – the 24-year-old singer, who wishes to attend the Feb. 10 Grammy in Los Angeles, sought a visa to make her trip possible. Still, the process may not be all that easy.

"The appointment at the U.S. Embassy was made some time ago and was part of process for obtaining a visa," said Winehouse's rep, adding that "no decision" has been made about her California trip.

He added: "Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision. She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic."

On Jan. 24, Winehouse was admitted to the Capio Nightingale clinic in north London, says the BBC. Only days before, a video surfaced that purportedly showed her smoking crack cocaine, which is what will likely impede her visa application.

In addition, in October she was arrested and fined in Norway for possession of cannabis, a claim she intends to appeal this month in a Norwegian court.

She is nominated for six Grammys, including album of the year (Back to Black), song of the year and record of the year ("Rehab"), and best new artist.

Amy who is nominated for six awards is still set to be one of the shows performers. Let’s all hope she can stay sober and drug free between now and Sunday.
"Six Grammy's thats awsome, i just hope she shows up"

Gwen Stefani Confirms Pregnancy While Onstage In Florida

Singer tells Ft. Lauderdale crowd to 'sing so loud that the baby hears it.'
By Jennifer Vineyard
Well congratulations seem to be in order for the “holla back” girl. Last week the father of her hubby Gavin Rossdale announced that she is pregnant with her second child. The couple is the proud parents of son Kingston James 1. It seems that Gwen has finally made the pregnancy official at her most recent concert tour stop in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Gwen Stefani confirmed reports of her pregnancy Wednesday night while onstage at her final U.S. tour stop in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
"I want you to sing so loud that the baby hears it," the 36-year-old singer told the Bank Atlantic Center crowd during a sing-along to her song "Crash." She patted her famous-but-expanding midsection at the end of the show. Though word of her pregnancy broke Tuesday, her label reps had refused to confirm it.
"I'm really horrible with secrets," Stefani told the Los Angeles Times in an interview published Saturday. "It's amazing we kept it quiet as long as we did, I suppose."
Stefani called off plans for a second solo album earlier this month, saying she needed time off to rest (see "Gwen Stefani Holding Off On That Second Solo LP — For Now, Anyway"), but that turned out not to be the whole story, and Us Weekly reported on Tuesday that the reason why Stefani needed a break was that she and husband Gavin Rossdale were expecting. The magazine said it had confirmation from the singer's mother and father-in-law.
"We are delighted," the magazine quoted Douglas Rossdale as saying. When asked if she was excited, Patti Stefani reportedly said, "Yes." But when the report came out, Stefani's rep was adamant there was nothing to it, saying, "Her mother and father-in-law did no such thing. Check your sources."
"[Us Weekly] called my father-in-law in England," Stefani told the Los Angeles Times. "He's a retired doctor and just the sweetest man. And they said something like, 'Congratulations, it's confirmed, everybody knows. ... And he was like, 'Uh, well, we're delighted.' Oops. Then it was like a wildfire."
Stefani has often talked about wanting a baby, and made reference to it in songs such as "What You Waiting For" (with the clock ticking) and more explicitly in "A Simple Kind of Life," in which she wishes for a "mistake" with her birth control: "I always thought I'd be a mom/ ... You seem like you'd be a good dad."
Stefani and Rossdale married in September 2002 in two ceremonies, one held in London and another held in Los Angeles. This will be Stefani's first child and Rossdale's second; he discovered in 2004 via a paternity test that he was the father of 16-year-old model Daisy Lowe, whose mother, Pearl, was his former girlfriend.
Check out Best of RAW in Overdrive, where Gwen Stefani talks about her hopes for starting a family.

The baby announcement couldn’t have come at a better time. Gwen is finishing up her tour and is between albums. Now her perfect family can become even more perfect with the addition of another perfect child; maybe in the form of a daughter? Only time will tell.
"Congrats to Gwen, from what i know about her, i know she'll be the best mom she can be, while still making HITS!

Paula Abdul Making Comeback?
Written By: Adam Gonshor
A once famed pop starlet of the 80’s and early 90’s is making a comeback. The American Idol judge Paula Abdul has been working on new material for sometime now and debuted some of it yesterday at the Superbowl XLII pregame show:

andPOP) Simon Cowell: meet your next victim. Paula Abdul could be making a comeback.

MTV is reporting that Abdul, currently a host on American Idol, is recording a new album.

"My fans want to dance and that's what I want to do," she said. "It's going to be funky, but I'm doing a lot of different things, keeping it fresh."

She is also reportedly writing songs for Kylie Minogue and other pop artists.

Abdul hasn't released new material since 1995. Besides having two number one albums, Abdul has won a Grammy Award, three American Music Awards, and five MTV awards.

It still remains to be seen if Paula can actually make a comeback. For now she should just stick to what she knows best and continue to be a judge on American Idol.
"cant wait to see what shes gonna come out with, she should teem up with Timbaland"

Eva Mendes in Rehab
by TMZ Staff

And finally…Eva Mendes is following on the Hollywood bandwagon and has been admitted into rehab. She is keeping house at the Cirque Lodge in Utah. This is the same place that Lindsay Lohan made famous late in 2007 with her extended stay

TMZ has learned Eva Mendes is in Utah battling a substance abuse problem. The "Ghost Rider" star is at the famous Cirque Lodge, near Sundance. The Lodge, which treated Lindsay Lohan and other stars, is one of the most respected treatment facilities in the country.

Eva has been at Cirque for several weeks.

Her rep tells TMZ "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details."
While this doesn’t come as too much of a shock, we wish her all the best as she tries to make a full recovery.
"Im glad to know she's in the hands of people who can really help her, as always all the best"

So today was a pretty laid back day for us. I had two classes today (Health Psychology and the Culture of Disability), while Rigo worked hard on the blog. There is a lot for me to get accomplished before I head home for the weekend next Friday, but it will get done. Tomorrow is an even quieter day for me as I have only one class (History of Psychology).

Well that is all the news that’s fit to blog, tune in tomorrow for more up to date celebrity news. Until then may all your couches be comfy.
