An today on the couch...

An before i get into my first official post I have to congratulate Both the Patriots and the Giants for an Amazing game. I enjoyed it with my girfriend Joanna, while sipping on Juice and Gin..lol and here is how it went down:

THE GIANTS WIN IT 17-14!!!

February 3, 2008 -- GLENDALE, Ariz. – The imperfect team picked the perfect time to deny perfection.
Completing an astonishing season with an upset for the ages, the Giants tonight shocked the world, denied history and defeated the Patriots 17-14 in a remarkable Super Bowl XLII stunner at University of Phoenix Stadium.
Eli Manning's 13-yard pass to a wide-open Plaxico Burress – who ran past stumbling cornerback Ellis Hobbs – with 35 seconds left set the final dagger in one of the greatest upsets in Super Bowl history.
Manning, trailing 14-10, directed a 12-play, 83-yard drive, using 2:07 for the winning points.
"(Eli) did the things in the second half, the fourth quarter you have do to win the Super Bowl," coach Tom Coughlin said. "He played very, very well, very cool, very calm."
What was supposed to be the coronation of the Patriots immaculate 19-0 season instead became one of the most unexpected defeats in this game's storied history. The Pats sought to copyright the 19-0 trademark; instead, they'd better get busy printing up those "18-1" shirts.
And to think, Burress predicted to The Post the Giants would win 23-17. He almost got it right.
The Giants incredible defense sacked Tom Brady five times, the last with 19 seconds left by rookie Jay Alford.
"18-1; we lost the most important one," Brady said.
"They played well. They made some plays, we made some plays; in the end they made a couple more than we did," Pats coach Bill Belichick said. "We're obviously disappointed."
The Giants get to take home the Lombardi Trophy for the first time since the 1990 season and they earned it the hard way, as a wild card entrant into the playoffs, not favored to win in Dallas or Green Bay and certainly not against what many considered the best team in NFL history. Instead, the Giants made history of their own.
"It was a tremendous team effort all the way around, all the way through the playoffs," Coughlin said.
"We had so many young guys that were hyped up to play in this game," he added. "We were prepared and we were excited about playing." "We didn't do this to prove people wrong," Michael Strahan said. "We did this to prove to ourselves that we could do it."

"and may i add we're soo happy that mannings was given the MVP Award, an honor well deserved"

And now on TheOrangeCouch our top news of the day...

TMZ has learned tomorrow is shaping up to be an all-out war in the Britney Spears conservatorship case. Sources say lawyers for Britney will try to convince the Commissioner that Britney "feels hatred" toward her dad, doesn't trust him and wants him removed as co-conservator.Here's the way it's gone down this weekend. Yesterday, a lawyer for Trope and Trope (Brit's divorce/custody attorneys) went to UCLA to visit Britney. After being there a short time, one of the staff doctors asked the attorney to leave, because the co-conservators objected to the visit.

Sources say tomorrow, Trope and Trope will appear at the court hearing. Along with attorney Adam Streisand, who specializes in estate law, and ask that both co-conservators be removed. They will argue that the appointment of Jamie in particular is inappropriate given Britney's bitter feelings toward him and that Britney wants him out.On Friday, the Commish appointed Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet as co-conservators. Trope lawyers and Streisand will ask that both conservators be replaced.Sources say the Trope firm will not object to a conservatorship for Britney, but they'll ask that a different conservator be appointed. We're told the Trope lawyers and Streisand have not finalized who they want to replace the current conservators.

"wow poor britney, all i can say is i hope she puts all her issues aside and takes full advantage of her treatment"

Angelina Jolie pregnant?
BANG ShowbizNov. 2, 2006 08:15 AM

Angelina Jolie is reportedly pregnant with her second child with Brad Pitt. The 'Tomb Raider' star - who is currently in India with Brad and their children filming 'A Mighty Heart' - is said to have been trying to conceal a baby bump and her feelings of morning sickness on set. A source told America's Star magazine: "She was wearing a baggy outfit and a big scarf. When she got out of the car, she walked straight to the building, and she was messing around with the scarf, trying to cover herself with it.
I heard she's not able to hold down food very well either." It has also been claimed that Angelina - who wore similar baggy dresses and cover-up shawls when she fell pregnant with her five-month-old daughter Shiloh Nouvel last year - has stopped taken her birth-control pills and is instead taken pre-natal vitamin supplements. Angelina reportedly fainted three times last month after arriving in Pune, in India. Sources say Brad, 42, and Angelina, 31, are both delighted about the pregnancy. The 'Ocean's Thirteen' actor is allegedly keen to have a son, and has made no secret that he wants to expand their family, stating recently that he would like at least six children, enough to make a mini-soccer team. Brad and Angelina already have two adopted children, five-year-old son Maddox, who is Cambodian, and Ethiopian daughter Zahara who is 22-months-old.

" i wish she wouldnt be soo shy about the whole thing, oviously at this point theyvwould know for sure if theres a bun in the oven or not."

Former "American Idol" contestant, Katharine McPhee, married her longtime boyfriend in Los Angeles on Saturday. The 23-year-old wannabeen singer/actress and Nick Cokas (who is 42, by the way) were strictly platonic before Katharine auditioned for the hit reality show.

As Kat's star began to rise, so did the relationship. The two started dating and Nick became a strong support for the Suga-Mama as she struggled with the pressures of the show and her secret eating disorder. McPhee told People that "Nick is the love of my life. This is a once in a lifetime occasion and everything is just perfect." Katharine was recently dumped by her record label.

"Congrats kat, wish you all the best. Ill be waiting for my invitation:-)"

Spice Girls 'Break Up' Even Before Starting?
Posted : October 16, 2007

Victoria Adams is furious at Geri Halliwell's plans to perform her solo hits on the Spice Girls' forthcoming world tour. Victoria, also known as Posh Spice, is determined Geri - who quit the band in 1998 to pursue a solo career - should not be allowed to sing a medley of her hits, which include 'Lift Me Up', 'Bag It Up' and 'Look At Me', when the girls hit the road in December.

A source said: "Victoria is adamant she won't do it. When she signed up, one major stipulation was that Geri will not sing solo."

The row is threatening to divide the Spice Girls, with fellow members Emma Bunton and Melanie C reportedly siding with Geri, while Melanie Brown is against the idea.

Geri and Victoria are also said to be clashing over the stage outfits the five-piece will wear. Victoria wants classy costumes, while Geri wants flamboyant outfits like those they were famed for in their 90s heyday. An insider added to Britain's Star magazine: "Victoria and Geri have come a long way since they were last in the Spice Girls, and they have completely different ideas of what will work on the road. With her fashion background, Victoria considers herself to be the key player in deciding the outfits and overall look of the band, but Geri is adamant that she has her say too."

Tensions between the pair are said to be so bad, they had to organize a get-together at Geri's house to sort out their differences. However, after both aired their views, Geri and Victoria were soon bickering once more. The insider added: "It was not pretty. They are both feisty and used to getting their own way, so they can't agree on anything at all."

"well you would think that there would be an amazing management crew present, but then again, im guessing there's not telling these girls what to do."

And that is all for today, my goal is to bring the most up to date celebrity news and world events. But for now i must go and continue to celebrate the Giants Victory.
Im out, goodnight!
